The Marchmont and Sciennes Community Council website gives information on matters of local concern.

The Community Council has published a summary of local views on the development of the site of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and provides up-dates on the proposed community buyout.

 

 

The Marchmont and Sciennes Development Trust issued a press release on 28th March 2017 announcing that it had submitted an application to register community interest in the Sick Kids site  and that the owners of the site had been notified to pause their sale process whilst the Scottish Ministers make a decision on the application within 30 days.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Redevelopment of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children (RHSC) site

A public meeting was held on 13th September and a note of the meeting may be found on the Marchmont and Sciennes Community Council website.  Following that meeting the Planning Action Group for the Sick Kids has worked with the CoThe mmunity Council to submit an application for a ‘charrette’ or community visioning process for the Sick Kids Hospital site and surrounding neighbourhood.
